Previous to Synergy, Mr. D’Agostino was Co-Head of Healthcare Investment Banking and partner at Punk, Ziegel & Company where he completed public offerings, M&A, private placements and PIPE transactions with Avant Immunotherapeutics, Axonyx, Callisto Pharmaceuticals, Cell Therapeutics, Depomed, Epimmune, Lexicon Genetics, Progenics Pharmaceuticals and Znomics, Inc. 

Mr. D’Agostino was also senior M&A banker at Wasserstein Perella & Co., and BT Alex.Brown.  His experience includes leading buyside and sellside advisory assignments, IPOs, public debt and equity financings, senior debt facilities and private placements. He earned an M.B.A. in finance and Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Tulane University.

Mr. D'Agostino resides in New York City and is active in community based volunteer programs including Student Sponsor Partners, Knights of Malta, Inner City Scholarship Fund, East Harlem Tutorial Program, Co-worker with the Sisters of Life and Catholic Big Brothers/Big Sisters. 


 

Daniel D’Agostino is the Co-Founder and a Managing Director at American MedTech Advisors, an investment bank dedicated to providing strategic advisory and capital raising services to emerging growth companies in the tech and medical technology sectors with market capitalizations between $25 million and $500 million.

American MedTech provides buyside and sell-side M&A advisory services, as well as a broad range of business development services, including identifying partners and structuring agreements for approved and developmental med tech and pharmaceutical products including asset sales, co-marketing and licensing agreements.  

Prior to founding American MedTech Advisors, Mr. D’Agostino served as Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Investment Banking at ThinkEquity Partners.  From 2007-2009 he oversaw the execution of all biotech/med tech financing and M&A transactions for the company.  Before ThinkEquity, Mr. D’Agostino was recruited to serve as the acting Chief Financial Officer and Chief Business Officer at Synergy Pharmaceuticals/Callisto Pharmaceuticals (OTC: SYGP).  During his three year tenure, he completed approximately $30 million in PIPE financings for the company and carried out merger discussions resulting in offers to acquire the company.
